I have grown a little garlic in two seasons. In 2016-2017 I bought a garlic bulb at a supermarket and put the separated cloves in the southern end of Bed 3. The plants grew pretty well, though they were attacked by (I think) garden fleahoppers like many of the other plants in that bed. One plant I harvested in May 2017 had three small cloves.
