I have only seen one individual of prostrate pigweed, by the westernmost raised bed in the backyard. It is easily identified by the prominent indentations at the tips of its leaves. All parts of the plant are edible. Unlike other amaranthus species, prostrate pigweed does not grow upward, but sprawls along the ground.
