I discovered this delicate shepherd's purse plant on April 8, 2017 beneath a short common sunflower, though I have a feeling I have seen it in the yard before. It lives everywhere in the world's temperate areas, as well as some tropical countries, and it is thought to have originated in Europe or the Middle East. It is easily identified by their unique fruits, which are said to resemble the bags shepherd's once wore. It can live in many different soils, and the quality of the soil determines the size it attains.
