This leprose lichen grows on my back yard fence, adding a nice golden crust to the scenery. It is hard, and it doesn't come off if you scratch it with your fingernail, but it does stain your finger a bit if you rub it. A couple months after I took this photo on February 12, 2017, the lichen coverage of the fence had gotten smaller.
