Nodding Spurge is an opportunistic annual plants that often grow in disturbed soil. It lives in large areas of the United States and other countries.

I have a tinge of doubt about this species. Looking through some possible euphorbia species, the pictures for Euphorbia nutans looked the most like what I see in the garden. Apparently there is some interbreeding among euphorbias, resulting in a messy spectrum of classifications.

This individual was growing in my herb garden on July 17, 2016. It returned in 2017, populating much of the herb garden. I pulled out all the ones I could see.
