On Feburary 6, 2017, I yanked off some unhealthy leaves from my mizuna and winter kale, then dumped them on my back patio to see what critters I could find. One of them was a female garden ghost spider (Hibana gracilis), who quickly tried to get away from me. I managed to engage my subconscious arthropod-control techniques, and she froze on one place so I could easily take her picture. In general, Hibana gracilis spiders are from 6 to 8 mm long.
