Monochamus carolinensis - BugGuide

This pine sawyer was hanging out on my kitchen windowsill on May 29, 2015. There seems to be a lot of print publications about it, but not much useful information on the Internet. Bug Guide gives its range as Texas, Louisiana, Quebec, and Wisconsin, which seems strange to me. It is the primary vector of the pinewood nematode in the central US.
