I found this arabesque orbweaver in her web by my front walkway in the late afternoon on February 5, 2017. She stood her ground when I moved my phone with its clip-on lens right up in front of her. I unfortunately bumped her web a bit while trying to get a good shot.
One way to identify Neoscona arabesca from other Neoscona spiders with black marks is that arabesca's black marks are diagonal.
