The agaricus mushroom I saw on 9/29 now had chocolate-brown gills that curled upward.
I saw a honey bee poke its head into a Texas sage flower.
I found a Russula mushroom in the grass.

I found an Amanita section vaginatae mushroom in an area covered with small wood chips, perhaps in the back yard nook, where puddles often form and aggregate wood bits.

A darkling beetle was in my kitchen sink.

Some of the American beautyberry leaves had yellow spots on them.
I found a Spiny-backed orb weaver spider on its web in front of the garage.
The kusamaki on the west side of the garage had grown taller than the roof gutter

The butterfly weed was starting to look unhealthy.
I found a cicada “shell” on the Texas sage.
The bean plants were starting to look diseased.
Lawnflower was blooming.
Swamp lilies were blooming.

I photographed a small moth that I couldn’t identify. I had been trying to get a picture of one because a lot of them lived in and around the star jasmine and would flutter away or hide as I walked by. They are about half an inch wide at rest. I later identified the species as Tropical Sod Webworm (Herpetogramma phaeopteralis).

I photographed a green lacewing in my kitchen.
I took a picture of a fly on a leaf.
Goldenrain tree flowers were falling.
Loropetalum was blooming.
Texas sage was blooming.

I found a click beetle in my kitchen.

I took a picture of an orchard orb weaver in the northwest corner of the backyard.
The Kentucky Wonder bean vines started blooming.

Some sweet basil was about a foot tall in the triangle bed.

The cardinal flower plant had lost all of its flowers.

An orchard spider had a web near the back fence.
Texas sage only had a few flowers left.
