Mason Bees - Buzz About Bees
I found this male mason bee on an azalea flower by my front walkway on February 6, 2017. It was pretty easy to photograph, but it eventually flew away. I saw it (or another mason bee of the same species) two more times the same day, on the same flower. On the last time, two seemed to be mating but flew away as I approached. According to Wikipedia, they are gentle bees that do not sting.
