Cucurbit Powdery mildew (Podosphaera xanthii)

Podosphaera xanthii - Wikipedia

Podosphaera xanthii (also known as Podosphaera fuliginea) is one of two main powdery mildews to attack cucurbits, including cucumbers and squashes. The other one is Erysiphe cichoracearum  (also known as Golovinomyces cichoracearum). Podosphaera xanthii is more prevalent in warm conditions and more common overall. Erysiphe cichoracearum is found more in cooler weather. The two are indistinguishable without the use of a microscope.

These cucumber leaves were very likely attacked by either Erysiphe cichoracearum or Podosphaera xanthii on June 17, 2014.
