I have grown plants here since 2013, and as of January 2013, I have not had very good results. My fall 2016 crop has produced a few small tomatoes, which I have already eaten. I have used a variety of transplants and seeds, the latter being sprouted indoors and later transplanted.

This picture shows the first tomato, and first garden plant overall, that I ever planted in my yard. It was planted on August 25, 2013.

I had some "black krim" tomatoes growing well in 2014. This picture was taken on May 22, 2014.

At the same time, I had some "yellow pear" grape tomatoes that I could eat over a long period of time. They eventually migrated to the regular dirt and continued producing for some time there.

Occasionally I find a tomato that squirrels or other animals have partially eaten. They often get to them before the tomatoes are ripe.
