I have only seen Venus' looking glass grow in the cracks of my driveway. I periodically pull the plants from those cracks, so it is a matter of luck if I ever see them in my yard again. I originally photographed it on March 28, 2014. It is a very interesting little plant.

Venus' looking glass has alternate clasping leaves that cup the plant's flowers. According to Indentify That Plant, the flowers bloom and form their fruit from the bottom of the plant to the top, but that doesn't seem to be the case in this photo.
