Verbena - Wikipedia
Duration: Annual or Perennial | Native to: North America | Edibility: Used in traditional medicine | Status in Yard: One individual by the west fence |
I have one vervain in the back yard, near the west fence. It was nearly killed in the freeze of January 6-7, but it has survived in a damaged state. It was already quite small on January 2, 2017. I have an out of focus photograph from October 2013, showing what I think is a vervain with blue flowers. It could be the same individual. I have not been able to determine the species.

The vervain was flowering on June 25, 2017.
