I purchased a "banana" fig tree on January 17, 2015, and put in the ground sometime before February 22. In 2016 and 2017, it produced a small number of figs. In the spring of 2017, it grew a lot of leaves and grew significantly overall. It got infected with a leaf rust in 2015, 2016, and 2017 in the summer and fall. In 2017 the rust started in May.

Here is the fig tree on May 24, 2017.

In May, 2017 I already removed some leaves that had turned yellow with significant rust. Now many leaves have a small amount of it. I do not treat the tree with anything.
