I bought this plant in September 2013 to attract hummingbirds, which it did for the short time I had it. It lost its above-ground part in the winter, then came back in the spring. Over the next year, it stopped coming back. I might have inadvertently dug up the ground while it was dormant. To any extent, it was sold to me as native to this area, but in reality it's only native to Florida.
