Mondograss (or monkeygrass etc.) is another component of what a past owner of my house envisioned as a yard representing the far east. I have been working to remove it, but it has spread over the years, especially in the area behind the bedroom. In the photo below, the grasslike leaves are the mondograss. The white flowers bloom in the summer and early fall.
