Bedroom Wall Area

The bedroom wall area is the part of the back yard between my back bedroom wall and the main garden. The bedroom is 14 1/2 feet wide, and it is about 12 feet from the garden's S Bed.

Like most of the house, the bedroom wall is shaded by broad eaves, promoting the growth of shade-tolerant plants.

When I moved in on May 24, 2013, nandina lined the back wall of my bedroom. Around the nandina, other plants were either deliberately planted there or had moved there on their own.

On September 6, 2013, some mondograss (or monkey grass) was flowering in front of the nandina.

This area has by far the largest patch of mondo grass. This picture was taken on February 17, 2014. The patch was just as large, or perhaps larger, in 2017.

Nearby, a Japanese holly fern, was tucked into the nandina.

By February 16, 2014, several oriental false hawksbeard plants were growing and flowering in the area.

This is how the western side of the area behind my bedroom looked on March 6, 2014:

On March 9, 2014, a common sowthistle plant was growing near the mondo grass.
