There is disagreement between different websites as to which common name goes with which subspecies name. Some call snow peas macrocarpon and some call them saccharatum. Whatever the variety name, this page is about snow peas.

I started growing snow peas and sugar snap peas in November 2016, partly on trellises, and partly not. They were growing well until the freezes on the nights of January 6 and 7, which only a few survived. Here are t he combined peas on January 5, 2017. In the end, only a few snow pea pods were available for harvesting among all the sugar snap peas.
