Duration: Perennial, evergreen | Native to: From the western Mediterranean to southern Italy | Edibility: Leaves and stems | Status in Yard: Died, not replaced |
Common thyme was the first thyme I planted in my herb garden as a transplant. If I remember correctly, it died, or seemed to die, at some point. I replaced it, in the same place, with Porlock thyme, which is still going strong in April 2018. On December 11, 2017, I started some common thyme indoors, and transplanted it to the herb garden on February 2, 2018.
