Vetch - Wikipedia

After I constructed my triangle bed on September 1, 2013, I bought some vetch seeds at Wabash to use as a cover crop, with the idea they would break up the soil and provide some nitrogen for a spring crop. However, the vetch didn't grow in the native dirt well at all. The rock hardness of the dry dirt probably had something to do with it. Seedlings emerged, but none grew over an inch or two.
