Black-eye peas, otherwise known as cowpeas, etc., grow very well in my garden.  On June 29, 2016, the black eye pea plants had pods ready to pick, but they still had some growing to do. I didn't think to eat the pods themselves at the time.

Cow peas are susceptible to cowpea aphids, which covered some of the flower areas of the first cow peas I grew in May 2014.
