Between Fences

What I am calling "Between Fences" is the 1.5 - 2 foot space between my wooden back privacy fence and the short chain link fence that marks the property line.

The placement of the privacy fence creates an odd situation; if I go into the area between the two fences, I am legally in my own yard, but I am in the visual space of the house behind mine.

About twice a year, if that, I have cut back the trees as best I could, but they all grow back quickly. Power lines run above a space just inside the neighbor's properties. Every other year, workers from the electric company clear tree branches away from the cables, which does some of the work for me.

When I moved in, the invasive trees between the fences were large. Here is the goldenrain tree on September 5, 2013.

On the same day, a Chinese privet...

...and a large Chinese tallow tree.

On April 8, 2017, I met the person who lives there, and she was fine with my going back there. I also met the back neighbor one house west on the same day. He told me that the woman's son tried to clear out the area not too long ago, but he got bitten by a spider and died shortly thereafter. I find it hard to believe he died of a spider bite. However, it is a dark area, and the tangled vines between the two fences are convenient places to build webs.

On April 9, 2017, I did a photo survey of the area.
