Arugula is one of the many plants about which botanists can't agree on scientific names. The USDA and ITIS (Integrated Taxonomic Information System) use Eruca vesicaria, and I'm siding with them, only because I have committed to the ITIS taxonomic report as my standard.

Arugula generally grows well in gardens. I usually just eat it straight out of the dirt, and little makes it inside. It had some temporary damage from the January 2017 freeze but recovered well.

I collected arugula seeds in May 2017.
